Hello! My name is Mr. Hiett and I teach English 10H and English 11. I've been teaching at
RHS since 2003, and I love being a part of the English program here.
I hope that you can navigate this page easily and access homework, class documents, and other information about the course that you are a part of.
My Classes:
English 10H - This honors level class will be a rigorous study of American Literature from colonial times until the contemporary era. This class will be stimulating and intense, with a quick pace and a lot of class discussion. There will be a number of reading and writing assignments for this class, and there will be a lot of handouts, which are available under the class links. This class will prepare you for the writing, readings, and discussions in the AP and IB classes.
English 11 - This is a college preparation course that focuses on American Literature. There will be a number of reading and writing assignments for this course. Handouts for the class are available under the class links.
