On behalf of Assemblymember Lisa Calderon, the annual 57th Assembly District Writing Contest is now live. This is a merit-based scholarship opportunity that will assist students in refining their college application personal insight questions, a key part of the UC application process. The submissions are open to ALL high school seniors (grade 12) who attend school or live in the 57th Assembly District.

This opportunity runs concurrently with the 57th District College and Career Fair where all recipients of the $1,000 writing scholarships will be announced. Students must be present during the fair closing ceremony on Saturday, September 10 to accept their scholarship.
