On behalf of Assembly Majority Leader Ian Calderon, the 57th Assembly District College & Career Fair is set to take place Saturday, September 21. The fair is hosted in partnership with Hacienda La Puente Unified School District and the Boys & Girls Club of West San Gabriel Valley at Glen A. Wilson High School.
This is a great opportunity for students and parents to meet with admission representatives from over 50 colleges, universities, and career technical programs. As well as attend workshops in English and Spanish on Financial Aid, Dreamers Resources, SAT/ACT, Community Colleges, and much more.
Concurrent with the fair, is the 57th Assembly District Writing Contest where 3 high school senior students will receive $1,000 scholarships. All high school students who attend will also be entered into an opportunity drawing ranging from $100 to $250 scholarships.
